Call for Papers
Eleventh Annual Conference on Money and Finance in
The Indian Economy
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) will be
hosting its 11th Annual Conference on Money and Finance in the
Indian Economy in the later half of January 2009. Submissions are invited for
contributed papers on all theoretical and empirical aspects of monetary and
financial economics. Papers on the
following topics are particularly welcome:
- Commodity price shocks and inflation
- Deposit insurance
- Money laundering
- Principles vs rules-based regulation
- U.S sub-prime crisis and its global consequences
- Role of leading indicators
Guidelines for paper submission
- Complete, unpublished papers should be submitted online in Adobe PDF format after logging in at ,http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mfc11,
[Authors who dont have a login at easychair need to create one using
the icon "I have no easy chair account" on the above mentioned site].
- In case of any difficulty papers should also be sent to the following email

- The papers should reach on or before 30th October 2008. All submissions will be reviewed and the authors
will be informed by 14 th November2008.
- A few papers submitted and presented at the Conference could be considered
for possible publication in the Journal of Quantitative Economics or Journal
of Macroeconomics and Finance in Emerging Market Economies (see www.informaworld.com/mfeme)
Authors
of accepted papers may be requested to act as discussants for other
papers. Limited travel subsidy for authors of accepted papers will be
provided (within India). The Institute will arrange for accommodation and local
