Third Annual Conference on Money and Finance in

The Indian Economy

The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) will be hosting its third annual conference on Money and Finance in the Indian Economy during November 30 to December 2, 2000. The conference will consist of contributed papers for which submissions are invited. Although papers on all aspects of the broad money and finance area are solicited, we would particularly welcome contributions on the following topics:

  1. The Design of Monetary Policy in a Liberalizing Economy: Targets and Instruments
  2. The Coordination of Monetary Policy with Fiscal and Financial Instruments
  3. Financial Innovations and the Conduct of Monetary Policy
  4. Exchange Rate Regimes and Global Financial Institutions
  5. Macropolicy and the Removal of Poverty
