My broad areas of research are electricity markets, energy efficiency and impacts and response relating to climate change. The long-drawn concerns on clean energy access, energy security and the environmental impacts of energy use offers several research opportunities in this field. The nature of these concerns and the quantum of the problem require a multidisciplinary approach. In my doctoral thesis, I examined consumer preference for energy efficiency in India. Based on the findings, I am now interested in examining consumer response to alternative electricity pricing structures.
