The Index of Economic Freedom, published annually by The Heritage Foundation, ranks countries based on 12 aspects of economic freedom across four categories: rule of law, government size, regulatory efficiency, and market openness. These aspects include property rights, judicial effectiveness, government integrity, tax burden, government spending, fiscal health, business freedom, labor freedom, monetary freedom, trade freedom, investment freedom, and financial freedom. The 2023 edition covers 184 economies, with tools for customized comparisons and interactive maps available online. Top-ranking countries, such as Singapore and Switzerland, highlight the positive correlation between economic freedom and prosperity....
