SUMMARY:IGIDR Workshop cum Conference on DSGE Modeling for Emerging Economies
DESCRIPTION:On August 6th and 7th\, 2018\, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR)\, is organizing a workshop on dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) modeling for emerging markets. The latest-generation DSGE models are the workhorse of modern macroeconomic theory and policy.  Dr. Viktoria Hnatkovska (Vancouver School of Economics) will conduct Dynare- and Matlab-based training aimed at practical or ‘how to do’ aspects on DSGE modeling for research students and faculty. The training will focus on the formulation and estimation of DSGE models with a special emphasis on emerging market economies.\n\nThe course will be followed by a one-day conference.\nWorkshop August 6\n09:00 a.m. to 09:15 a.m.: Registration\n\n9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Welcome and opening remarks by Dr. S.Mahendra Dev\, Director\, IGIDR\n\n9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Workshop\n\nClick here to view the Workshop Outline by Viktoria Hnatkovska\,Vancouver School of Economics.\n\nConference Dinner\nConference August 7\nClick here to view the Conference Program Details\n\nRegistration\n\nParticipants for the DSGE workshop have to register at http://www.igidr.ac.in/registration/ and they can also attend the conference.\n\nThe workshop and conference fee is INR 3000. It covers breakfast\, lunch and dinner for the workshop and Conference\, and has to be paid on arrival at IGIDR.  Registration and the fee are waived for all accepted conference paper presenters\, who are also encouraged to attend the workshop.\n\nRegistration is now closed.\n\nTravel and Accommodation\n\nEconomy class domestic airfare by the shortest distance will be reimbursed to accepted presenters.
