On August 6th and 7th, 2018, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), is organizing a workshop on dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) modeling for emerging markets. The latest-generation DSGE models are the workhorse of modern macroeconomic theory and policy. Dr. Viktoria Hnatkovska (Vancouver School of Economics) will conduct Dynare- and Matlab-based training aimed at practical or ‘how to do’ aspects on DSGE modeling for research students and faculty. Those working in this area can apply. The training will focus on the formulation and estimation of DSGE models with a special emphasis on emerging market economies.
The course will be followed by a one-day conference. Papers are invited on all theoretical and empirical aspects of DSGE modeling for the conference.



Paper Submissions:


Complete, unpublished papers should be submitted online in Adobe PDF format after logging in at

https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mfc17 by June 10, 2018.

The authors will be informed of acceptance by June 15, 2018, and have to confirm their participation by June 19, 2018.

Registration

Participants for the DSGE workshop have to register at http://www.igidr.ac.in/registration/ and they can also attend the confrence.

The workshop and conference fee is INR 3000. It is only applicable to participants who do not submit a paper or if they submit and their paper is not accepted. The fee covers breakfast, lunch and dinner for the workshop and Conference, and has to be paid on arrival at IGIDR. Registration and the fee are waived for all accepted conference paper presenters, who are also encouraged to attend the workshop.

The last date for filling the registration form is June 27, 2018, and selected participants will be informed by June 29, 2018. They have to confirm their participation by July 6, 2018.




Travel and Accommodation

Economy class domestic airfare by the shortest distance will be reimbursed to accepted presenters. The Institute will provide accommodation and local hospitality. Details of earlier conferences are available at http://www.igidr.ac.in/money/mfc16/
