The various issues covered in this talk include: (1) Product ideas based on the South Asian financial markets, backed by analysis of financial/corporate/economic data of the regional markets. (2) It looks at the rationale of the South Asia opportunity, and highlights Saarc’s & Saarc-Ex-India’s economic projections of 2015-2019 vis a vis other regions like Brics, Asean, CIS, Next-11, Civets, Mint, etc. (3) It tries to address the obvious geo-political challenge by offering possible solutions of anchor partners. (4) It analyzes the long-term historical financials of the Top-200 listed companies in the region’s main exchanges. (5) It looks at investment out-performance of a product portfolio idea based on the 4 large South Asian markets vs. the Emerging/Frontier Markets. (6) The product ideas are made flexible such they can be implemented with even with a few members, if not all.
