Sriram has a strong and well-rounded background in economic theory, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science. He began his professional career in electrical engineering and worked for several years as a software engineer, before transitioning into economics to pursue his long-standing intellectual interests in the field. This interdisciplinary training is reflected in his diverse publication record, which spans production under risk and uncertainty, labour economics, development economics, and a wide range of applications in applied econometrics.
